GET INVOLVED

Embracing the World is active in more than 40 countries around the world. In each country or region, Embracing the World projects are managed by an associated not-for-profit organization, each of which has been inspired by Amma’s relentless commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. In many cases, the projects arise directly out of the world’s poor sharing their problems with Amma. Where Amma has not visited, Embracing the World volunteers examine the lives of the less fortunate in their own communities and identify specific needs that are not being met. Projects are initiated to take significant steps toward meeting those needs. In all cases, it is understood that being compassionate means being effective in reducing suffering, at both material and emotional levels.
